Lip pigmentation helps to enhance what you already have and provides a natural, pretty lip.
As we age we tend to lose pigment in our lips. Lip pigmentation, a form of permanent cosmetics, give a healthy, youthful, and plumped look to the lips.
Lip pigmentation is one of my favorite permanent makeup services that I offer to my clients. There are so many pretty colors to choose from, and the color combinations are endless. I love seeing the finished results once healed, and how different the colors look on each client.
Imagine waking up with beautiful lip color year round! No more wiping lipstick off the rim of your glass or having the color bleed outside of your lip line and into the fine lines of the surrounding skin. Lips are a sensual and youthful part of our appearance, and our smile. They are front and center in every conversation and every mirror we look into. From younger, fuller lips to a maturing thinning and fading lip, adding pigment can brighten and restore the natural shape of our lips.
Lip pigmentation creates a realistic illusion of a fuller lip and a more youthful smile.
Is Lip Pigmentation for You?
Have you noticed the color of your lip fading and the outer edge (called the Vermillion Border) becoming ill-defined and less noticeable? Do you find yourself applying lip stains and glosses all the time? Younger lips are naturally fuller and more pronounced. However, as we age, collagen production decreases and we begin to lose some of that natural fullness in our lips. We start to notice the outer corners of the mouth begin to drop. The vermilion boarder becomes more faded and the lips become less noticeable. Adding lip color is a nice way to restore the faded color and define the natural shape of your lip creating a younger look. If you’re noticing you need more definition to your lip then maybe one of the techniques below is for you.
Several Lip Pigmentation Options are Popular
BLENDED LIP LINER is a wonderful way to define your lips without adding full-lip color. It is good for clients that have an ill-defined vermillion border or who like to were lip liner. The pigment added during this technique shapes and outlines the lip creating a soft and natural look. Blended lip liner also works well for clients who like to wear a different color gloss on the center of their lips. The two tone of color is pretty! Touch up is recommended every 1-2 years, and is dependent on age of the client and color selection. Lighter colors usually fade sooner than a darker color.
LIP BLUSHING is one of my favorite looks, and one of the latest trends. This technique creates a beautiful, airy pixilation of color throughout the lip. It works nicely with a medium shade of color. The darker color gives the lips a little more pop without a solid lipstick look. Just add some lip gloss and the color shines! This technique is good for anyone who has a fuller lip and is comfortable with a little more color in their lip but still wants a natural look. Touch up is recommended every 1-2 years, depending on the clients age and color choice.
LIPSTICK LOOK can either be done with a soft natural color, or a bolder or brighter color. With this technique, pigment is added densely throughout the lip creating a more solid color. This works well on most clients, but especially those clients who have thinner lips or would like full color. Touch up is recommended every 2-3 years depending on the clients age and color choice. The lighter the color choice, the sooner the color will fade.
OMBRE LIP is an artistic lip pigmentation in which we create a gradient of color throughout the lip to add dimension. More color is usually added in the corners of the lips and outline, and less color is added toward the center. This technique is for clients who may want a darker outer lip but a lighter inner lip to create the illusion of a fuller lip. Touch up is recommended every 1-2 years depending on the age of the client and the color selection.
