Permanent makeup is a great option for natural looking eyebrows, ombre brows or a powder brow!
Imagine waking up with beautiful eyebrows every morning and no longer worrying about them melting off on a hot summer day or washing away while enjoying a refreshing swim. Permanent makeup is great for almost anyone. It’s perfect for someone who has thinning brows, or has trouble applying makeup. It can also be a wonderful experience for almost anyone who is athletic or works out. Having permanent makeup can be life changing!
Let’s talk about brows and the options for permanent makeup eyebrows:
Brow Shape That’s Right for Your Face
Brows are always shaped according to the client’s preferences, but there are professional considerations. The design is determined by a number of factors. Face shape and location of the brow bone is fundamental. Next I consider measurements and angles taken from the nose and eyes to help ensure that your brow is the right size, shape, and placement for your face.
What Eyebrow Color is Right for You
Brows can either look natural or bold, and are unique and customized to the client’s needs and preferences. The color of the brow is determined by evaluating the undertones of your skin and the color of your natural brow hairs. And, if performed by the right Permanent Makeup Artist, brows can have a beautiful and natural result.
There are several brow techniques to consider. Each is dependent on the clients age, skin condition, and preference.
Here are the different techniques to consider:
Microblading
Microblading is a manual technique used to create soft, natural looking hairstrokes throughout the brow. It is recommended for clients with healthy skin or for clients having their brows tattooed for the first time. It is not recommended for oily skin or thinning, mature skin. Microblading is different from permanent makeup. It tends to fade out sooner and therefore will need to be touched up sooner. Touch up is usually needed between 1-1 ½ years (less than 1 year is not recommended).
Nano-Hairstroke Brow
The Nano-Hairstroke eyebrow is the latest trend in permanent makeup technique. This method creates very fine, natural looking hairstrokes throughout the brow. It is recommended for anyone looking for a soft, natural looking brow. It has more staying power than microblading. This technique usually last between 2-2 1/2 years depending on the condition and age of the clients skin. Although, touch up can be done sooner if preferred.
Combo Brow
The Combo Brow is a permanent makeup technique that combines both hairstrokes and powdering techniques to achieve a pigmented background of soft color, along with artistically placed hairstrokes that accent the brow and add dimension. This technique is recommended for anyone looking for a more defined eyebrow with both hairstrokes and background color. It’s also right for those wanting to add dimension to the center of the brow, or someone who has a thinning brow. This technique lasts approximately 2-3 years depending on the condition and age of the skin. Although, touch up can be done sooner if preferred.
Powder Brow
A Powder Brow is a permanent makeup technique that creates a soft shading effect throughout the brow. This method achieves a more defined brow design. It is good for anyone wanting to add dimension and color to their eyebrows. Powder Brows will last approximately 2-3 years. Although, touch up can be done sooner if preferred.
Ombre Brow
Ombre Brow is a permanent makeup technique that creates a soft shading effect throughout the brow with a gradient of color that is darkest at the tail of the brow and lightest at the front. This technique is good for anyone wanting to add dimension and color to the brow, but likes the brow to look darker and more defined at the tail and body yet soft and lighter at the front. Ombre Brows last approximately 2-3 years depending on the condition and age of the skin. Although, touch up can be done sooner if preferred.
