You’ve decided you want to get a skin rejuvenation or anti-aging procedure done. Now what? There are definitely some things you want to do before scheduling your appointment. Here’s our advice:
Book a Consultation
A consultation is the first step to booking an appointment, especially if you’re unsure which procedure is right for you. Joanne does consultations via an in-studio visit or over the phone. Consultation range from 15-45 minutes. The charge is $50, but if you book a service after your consultation, that cost is credited towards your procedure. Consultation are simply to determine if you’re a good candidate for any specific procedure, help you to understand what the whole process entails, explain what to expect for healing and down time, and what the expected outcome should be. Consultations are also helpful when deciding which procedure is best for you and your skin type. We always want to make sure you are spending your money on treatments that will benefit you.
Do I Need to Book a Consultation?
A consultation is recommended, especially if you are a first time client, have a medical history, or would like more information on services, pricing and the procedure.
Are You a Good Candidate for a Procedure?
There are certain contra-indications that should be sorted through during the consultation. My top priority is to make sure that the procedure is safe for you, and we can achieve the final outcome you desire. With certain medical histories, a doctor’s approval may be required. It’s important to sort through this before your procedure so that when you come into the studio for your appointment everything is ready to go. We can determine all of this at your consultation.
Things to Think About Before Scheduling Your Service Appointment
What are Your Goals?
Think about what your overall beauty goal is. Are you interested in skin tightening or skin rejuvenation? Are you thinking about permanent makeup? If so, is it brows, eyeliner or lip pigmentation? Do you want or need a combination of treatments?
Consider Your Work & Personal Schedules
Here are some important questions to consider:
- Do you need to take time off from work to heal or do you work in an environment where you can continue working?
- Do you have any upcoming family events, games, meetings or appointment to work around?
- Are you a slow healer and need a few more days to heal?
- Do you need to plan your healing time around a weekend or prefer having it done during the week?
Answering these questions will help you book just the right date for your procedure. We want you to be comfortable afterwards, and heal under the best possible circumstances. We don’t want you to have to cancel at the last minute and forfeit your deposit, and we want your results to be optimal!
Think About Upcoming Events & Vacations
For many procedures, you need to plan several weeks ahead so that your skin has time to heal, tighten and lift. Initial permanent makeup appointments require a 6 week touchup which is included in the price. So you definitely want to be available to make that appointment for proper results. Skin tightening and lifting can take a few weeks to 3 months to see maximum results. Extra stress, strain, sun exposure, etc. can negatively affect results, so you may want to have certain services done well in advance of major event.
Consider Time of Year & Weather Conditions
Think about which procedure you’re having done, the weather and time of year. You should avoid direct sunlight during your healing time. And you need to use a high SPF sunscreen afterwards. Although it’s tempting to get a service before vacation so you can look your best, sometimes a vacation is not the right time to heal if you’re going somewhere warm.
What About Aftercare?
All aftercare products are included in our service prices. Joanne will explain the required aftercare thoroughly to you before you leave. Each client will go home with specialized aftercare products, and instructions specific to their skin type.

What If I Have to Cancel or Reschedule My Appointment?
When you schedule a procedure at Tint, $100 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your appointment time. It’s important that you consider all of the above matters before scheduling your appointment so that you don’t have to cancel at the last minute.
Procedures require a block of time to be reserved, so when a client cancels, the studio loses. So that we can keep our pricing a fair as possible, it’s important that you schedule your appointment carefully.
If you must reschedule, please provide 48 hours’ notice, and the rescheduled appointment must be done within the following two weeks. If the appointment is re-booked later than 2 weeks post cancellation, the $100 deposit will be lost and a new deposit will be required to secure any future appointment.
