What to Expect
With each permanent cosmetic procedure, you should expect to book a Consultation, “First Session, and “Touch-Up Session”. All are included in the total price. Occasionally, an additional procedure is required and will be discussed at the time of your Consultation or Touch-Up session. When scheduling your initial consultation, you may book your 1st session on the same day but will not have the option for a scratch test if so desired. If a scratch test to assess for potential allergies is desirable, I suggest you make your consultation appointment first and then schedule your 1st session upon leaving, allowing time for proper scratch test evaluation. Your consultation fee will be credited towards the total amount of your procedure with 50% specific procedure deposit required at the time of 1st session booking. The balance is due in full at the end of “1st Session”. Each client receives my undivided attention with ample time reserved to ensure satisfaction with your final look.
At your consultation, we’ll first discuss whether or not you are a good candidate for Permanent Cosmetics. Please arrive 15 minutes early to relax, have a cup of tea or infused flavored water, and allow enough time to complete appropriate paper work. During the consultation, we’ll discuss your medical history, medications, and beauty regimen that may or may not affect the retention of your pigment. If you have any of the contraindications listed in “Requiring Physician Approval”, please contact your physician ahead of time and have them write a note on official letterhead or medical prescription pad stating it’s safe for you to have your permanent cosmetics procedure. Please bring the physician’s note to “1st Session”. Do not stop taking any medication unless directed by your doctor. Once we’ve discussed your medical history and answered all questions about safety and procedural details, we’ll proceed to customizing the perfect pigment for you. This usually takes some time and once the final pigment is approved by you, we’ll book your 1st-Session. A scratch test can also be performed at this time if desired. You should plan on 60-75mins for your consultation.
At the “First Session”, I will pre-numb you with a topical anesthetic specific for the individual procedure. After taking “before photos”, we’ll design your brow, lip, and / or eye liner to your approval and begin the procedure. This usually takes 2-2 ½ hrs depending on the work involved. During the procedure, topical anesthetics will be use as needed to keep discomfort at a minimum. You will have the opportunity to view the process and provide input throughout. Upon procedure completion, “After Photos” are taken and after care discussed. Please keep in mind the color will look darker immediately after the procedure than the final result. This is a gradual process requiring appropriate after care and healing time in addition to the “Touch-Up” session to achieve the best possible result.
At the “Touch-Up” session, you will again be pre-numbed with topical anesthetic specific for the individual procedure. After “before photos” are taken, we’ll refresh the design of your brow, lips, and / or eye liner to your approval, make any pigment adjustments as needed, and begin the “Touch-Up” procedure. This session allows me to evaluate how your skin has absorbed the pigment and to reinforce and evening out pigment retention as well as enhancing the design. This usually takes between 1 ½-2 hrs depending on how your skin absorbed the pigment from your first session. Topical anesthetics will continue to be used to keep discomfort at a minimum and you will have the opportunity to view and provide input throughout the procedure. “After Photos” will be taken and after care discussed. This is a similar healing process as the 1st session and again the color will look darker than the final result.
I recommend that you book a consultation and visit the studio so we can determine if Permanent Cosmetics is for you.
Please call in advance of booking your appointment if you have any questions, including when Physician approval may be required.
